1970 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow
Well Sorted, Long-time Single Ownership, Two Owners Since New
This magnificent 1970 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow is now offered for sale by the Cooper Classics Collection. The car comes to us from its second owner who first purchased the vehicle 38 years ago. This gentleman rigorously maintained the car during his tenure of ownership, and had the car fully serviced each year per Rolls-Royce factory recommendations. This majestic Silver Shadow was driven exclusively at the owner's country home in upstate New York, accumulating an average of just 2,500 miles per year. Everything on the car works and everything is in very good shape--the A/C functions like new, the transmission is smooth as could be, and all electricals are in order. Likewise, all cosmetics are in the same well-cared-for condition. The Regal Red paint shows beautifully, and looks stunning in daylight, as does all the chrome. The original interior shows less wear than would be expected and is in excellent shape both structurally and cosmetically.
This is a rare opportunity to own a well-kept example of a mid-production Silver Shadow, a car which offers the increased performance of the later 6.75 L engine, but still retains much of the styling of early cars including chrome bumpers and flat wheel covers. It is a car that would be as much at home with either a first-time Rolls-Royce owner or a seasoned aficionado. And as it sits, this classic English four-door is ready to serve another 38 years or more with the next owner and their family.
