This 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280SL is in its rare factory original color combniation of Navy Blue (DB 904) with a Navy Blue interior and complete with Navy Blue soft top and matching hardtop. Equipped with 4-speed manual transmission it is one of the best running 280SLs we have offered ever offered up for sale. Comprehensively restored by a Mercedes-Benz specialist in the late '80s early '90s. He purchased the car from one of his clients as a gift for his wife and subsequently went through a careful and detailed restoration on the car, which we freshened up recently. It remained with them until the early '00s when the car was sold in the interest of thinning out their collection. Throughout the years the car has been properly maintained and serviced as evidenced by its outstanding cosmetic and mechanical condition. Books, restoration records, and restoration photographs accompany the sale of the car. The car needs absolutely nothing and can be driven and enjoyed right away.
