Cooper Classics has the distinct honor of presenting to the market for the very first time ever, this as-new 1988 Porsche 911 Carrera ClubSport. 1 lifelong owner, with the original title in hand, and 14,000 original miles as confirmed by Carfax and service records. Presented in triple black, this is one of three Black 911 ClubSports ever sold in the USA, and one of 28 ClubSports brought to the USA at all. Rarely do these cars ever come to market, and they never come to market in this kind of remarkable condition. The 911 ClubSport was a special order model, predating the GT3 and other high performance special edition, naturally aspirated Porsches, as the first of its kind. A special, light weight, stripped down 911 Carrera, with more power, a higher redline, a different ECU tune, with a host of changes designed to save weight. Some of the things you come to expect from a Porsche of this era, like power windows, a passenger side sun visor, rear seats, and A/C, have all been removed in favor of making the car as light as possible, similar to the ethos behind modern day GT3s. To top off all of these noticeable changes, the car gets a short throw transmission, and a delicious CS CLUBSPORT decal, which is in stunningly beautiful original condition on the drivers front fender. As if all that weren't enough, the interior is treated to a unique to only the ClubSport Porsche script seats, special leather door cards, and the manual window roll ups. The Blaupunkt radio remains in beautiful functional condition. Cars like this particular car are the type of car that make you question everything you know about how well preserved a 1988 Porsche can be.
