Cooper Classics is pleased to offer a unique blend of a 43,000 original mile car that has been cosmetically restored and received a full mechanical overhaul. Presented in its original color of Tobacco Brown with a Tan interior and a tan top, this 3.5 presents as new inside and out. It received a stunning, full cosmetic restoration addressing all visual aspects of the car by a renowned Classic Car Restoration facility in Hyannis Massachusetts. This 3.5 was brought down to bare metal and every inch of the body was examined to address any issues and prepare it for a full repaint in its factory color. The underside was also stripped, checked, and recoated using factory methods. No stone was left unturned. During this restoration, this 3.5 received a beautiful new paint job, new upholstery and carpeting, all new top headliner and top cover, and was mechanically serviced. The A/C system was overhauled at this time. Due to the low original mileage of 43,000 miles, a mechanical restoration on such a low mileage car was not necessary. After the restoration, the proud owner took his 3.5 to the same restoration facility every year for a service, and to tend to any maintenance items. The included Mercedes Data Card confirms this is car retains its matching numbers engine with 43,000 original miles. In 2022, Cooper Classics had the restoration cosmetically and mechanically refreshed by renowned Mercedes Specialist KJA Restoration in NJ. We commissioned a full mechanical service and tune up, along with fluid changes. Dashboard wood was refinished to match the rest of the beautiful interior, and a full suspension overhaul was performed, thoroughly replacing any parts in the suspension which may have deteriorated over 52 years. The steering box was replaced with a freshly rebuilt unit to address a common leaking issue with these cars. All 5 tires were replaced with new White line tires. The A/C system was fully overhauled with a new compressor installed and the factory Behr A/C blows Ice cold. All new belts were installed, and engine bay metal was cleaned and plated as per factory for to enhance the already excellent restoration. The result is a 3.5 Cabrio that is ready to be enjoyed and used, and to shuttle you and your 3 best friends in absolute style, comfort, and luxury.
