Cooper Classics is pleased to offer another excellent Porsche 912 5 Speed, in the classic color combination of Sand Beige over Black. Excellently preserved, maintained, and loved throughout its entire life, this 912 is ready to hit the road. Delivered new to Stoddard Motors to a Mr. McHale, this 912 retains its original order sheet, options list, and delivery invoices. Subsequently owned by Mr. McHale until 1974, it was then purchased by Douglas Eyster, who owned it until we acquired the car. A Plaque with Mr. Eysters name resides on the dashboard preserving his history of ownership. Coming with the car are extensive service records by Mr. Eyster, who religiously serviced the car inside and out, treating to the car to both minor services such as oil changes, and major services. At some point the car traded hands to a Gene Selger, a noted Porsche collector, who sadly passed away. We were told that Gene rebuilt both engines with Webers, and power upgrades to both engines about 10-15 years ago. The car retains its matching numbers engine, on a crate (with Webers installed), which comes included with the car. Currently installed in the car is an rebuilt, same year 67 912 motor with upgraded Weber Carbs which makes excellent power and fires right up. Due to Mr. Selgers untimely passing, the records for these rebuilds were lost. However, we had the engine installed in the car compression checked and all 4 cylinders were 160+ PSI, undeniably excellent compression. The interior is 100% all original, and in good driver level condition. The interior retains a charming and lovable character always lost in restored cars. The car is rust free with original floors. Comes with Books, Tools, Date stamped wheels (including spare), Original order sheets, and extensive service records
