This 1962 Porsche 356B Coupe is the car you never thought existed. The full, thoroughbred Porsche 356 experience, but without the sweat. At first glance, this factory Oslo Blue car looks totally original and unmodified. Upon closer inspection of the interior, you'll notice a set of vents on the dashboard that appear as if they were there from day one. Could it be? Yes, this 356 has a full Air Conditioning system which blows ice cold (17F measured with a laser thermometer). This lucky car was the recipient of a full 356 West Air Conditioning system, which is beautifully integrated into the car in a way that appears almost entirely factory. This system is specifically built for each individual car and is NOT an off the shelf kit anyone can purchase. In fact, the producer of the kit has a waitlist for his cars. Not only that, this car received a 1720CC upgrade on its matching numbers engine, bumping it up to SC or similar power figures. In addition, this car also was upgraded to 12 Volts using an alternator, and sports a set of Weber carburetors for increased performance. The result is a car that not only drives beautifully, but looks striking as well. The Oslo blue paint is in excellent condition, and the interior appears as new, with gorgeous tan upholstery, which appears less than one year old. The car was previously owned by an Air Force member who fastidiously maintained the car through 356 Expert Mark Devaneer of 356 West.
