This 1971 Mercedes-Benz
280SE 3.5 Convertible is in its original color of Tunis Beige Metallic
(DB 462) with a Black Interior and Black Convertible top. The previous
owner states that he purchased the car from the second owner 7 years
ago, and that it was originally a California Car from Beverly Hills.
When he purchased the car it had been restored by the previous owner
including new paint, new convertible top, new leather interior,
and refinished Zebrano wood including covering the gauge cluster
in wood similar to the early w111 cars. After we received the car
we found that it still presents very well cosmetically. The car
features the very desirable floor shift option. It runs and drives
very well with smooth shifts and plenty of power. Underneath of
the car is in very good condition with no rust. The previous owner
had installed a set of 15" chrome-alloy Mercedes-Benz Wheels
(You will see these in the photos.). We removed the wheels and installed
a set of factory Mercedes-Benz wheels, wheel covers, and new Michelin
Tires. The set of 15" wheels will accompany the sale of the
car. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase one of the most
desirable classic cars in the world at an excellent price. |
