This 1971 Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Convertible is Dark Green (DB
291) with its original Cognac Leather Interior and Dark Green Convertible
top. This is an extremely well documented and original car. The
previous owner purchased the car in 1971. We have the original Bill
of sale and invoice from Mercedes-Benz as well as every book that
came with the car including the metal identification plate, all
of the tools, the medical kit, and the emergency kit. The car has
been garaged and well cared for since 1971 with only 46,000 original
miles. The previous owner let the car sit in his garage for the
past 15 years. After purchasing the car we sent it to an expert
Mercedes mechanic who thoroughly inspected and serviced the car.
It runs and drives very well with everything in proper running order.
After assuring that all of the mechanical details
had been addressed we sent the car out to be completely stripped
and repainted in its original color of Dark Green. We also installed
a new convertible top with headliner in its original color of Green.
The wood has been refinished and is new. The rest of the car is
completely original and in beautiful condition including the original
Cognac leather interior which would be impossible to properly duplicate
through restoration. The carpeting and chrome are all original in
excellent condition. The floors are some of the best original floors
we have ever seen on a 280SE 3.5 convertible and they are completely
original and rust free.
This is quite possibly the finest original 280SE
3.5 convertible on the market today and it would be next to impossible
to find one in comparable original condition.
