This 1968 Mercedes-Benz 280SL is finished in its rare factory colors of Black (DB 040) with black interior, black convertible top, and black hardtop. It is equipped with an automatic transmission. We recently took the car in trade from one of our clients. In recent years the car was restored mechanically including the installation of an electronic ignition with some cosmetic restoration including a new interior and convertible top. Once we took the car in trade we had it completely stripped and repainted. It looks stunning in its original black. The chrome is excellent throughout with many new or rechromed parts. All of the carpeting is new, and the wood has been refinished. The original books are included in the sale as well extensive service records.
