1958 Porsche 356 is Ivory with a Green Leather Interior and Black
Soft Top. The car was originally ordered by a US Air Force Colonel
on May 30th 1958 in its current color combination of Ivory with
Green Interior. The car eventually ended up in Texas sometime in
the 1980s. One of our clients acquired the car in 2002, and he drove
the car up until last year when he decided to trade it in on a beautiful
and fully restored 1967 Series 1 Jaguar XKE Roadster.
After taking the car in trade we had the car completely
stripped and repainted in its factory original color of Ivory, installed
a new and complete leather interior in its factory original color
of Green, new carpeting, new convertible top, and new boot cover
(all upholstery from Autos International). All of the chrome is
excellent including new front and rear bumper overriders, headlamp
rings, etc. New rubber was installed including Doors, Windows, Convertible
top, etc. A Porsche expert who looked at the car recently remarked
on the originality of many of the engine components, and confirmed
our feelings that the mileage of 97,315 is original as documented
with our paperwork. The floors are original and excellent. The car
was recently tuned and drives well. All gauges rebuilt by North
Hollywood Speedometer. Included with the sale are tools, owner's
manual, and original owner's documentation.
