This 1958 190SL remains in its original color of white over a red interior and black top. The car is a good driver with a recent engine rebuild. The matching numbers engine runs very strong and the car is a pleasure to drive. The car was mechanically restored in 1984 by Billy Mitchell, the mechanic for the renowned race car driver Mark Donohue. The floors are excellent and Hyannis restoration did extensive metal, paint, and interior work. About $75,000 in total was spent on the restoration. It has been upgraded to Weber carbs, which help the performance, and the car comes with a Mercedes Data Card. The car is a very attractive example and is ready to be enjoyed.
