The car is in excellent restored condition. The paint and interior are new.
The convertible top is in excellent condition as well. The bumpers were rechromed
and the rest of the brightwork is excellent. Mechanically the car is excellent
including a rebuilt transmission with overdrive, stainless steel exhaust, rebuilt
fuel system, and complete service. The car has a rare overdrive transmission and is equipped with an optional tachometer. Less than 100 miles have been put on the
car since the restoration was completed in 2005. The car has been autographed
in the glove box by legendary racing driver John Fitch, who drove a works Sunbeam
in the 1952 Alpine Rally. That same year, he drove a Porsche 356 at the Nurburgring,
a Mercedes 300SL in the Carrera Pan Americana, and a Cunningham at Lemans.
This is a wonderful example of an iconic classic car (made famous by the film "To
Catch a Thief")
that is ready to be driven and enjoyed right away. |
