This 1954 Porsche 356 Pre A Coupe is presented in Red with a Gray Interior with Corduroy Inserts. A Porsche Certificate of Authenticity is included with the sale verifying the matching numbers engine, transmission, and body parts/panels. This 4 owner Porsche was sold new in Germany and was imported to the Los Angeles area in 1956. The car's current owner began a restoration that lasted over 10 years and was recently completed in 2012. During restoration a total disassembly of the car and an acid dip to bare metal revealed that the original undercarriage showed no rust and was in need of very little repair, the original floors and longitudinals were left intact and untouched. The interior was reupholstered by Autos International and the drive train was serviced by Edelweiss in Torrance, CA with a rebuilt transmission and a freshening of the engine.
The car has approximately 250 miles on it since its restoration and it performs flawlessly.
