1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SEL 4.5

 

This 1973 Mercedes-Benz 280SEL 4.5 (manuf date 9/72) is Dark Green with a Black Leather Interior. We took the car in trade about 8 years from a Mercedes-Benz collector on a 280SE Cabriolet who attested that the mileage on the car is original (the odometer currently reads 29,000 miles). At the time the car had recently been restored including a repaint and new interior. A Hamptons neighbor of our company president purchased the car and used it sparingly until he traded the car in this summer towards a 280SL.

 The paint on the car remains excellent as well as the interior which is like new. Factory equipment on the car includes power windows, air-conditioning, and floor shift. Mechanically, the car performs very well on the high way, but has a hesitation at idle. The "pluses" on this particular example certainly outweigh its very few "minuses", qualifying this car as one of our "TLC" specials and a great overall value.
