1969 Porsche 911 E Sportomatic
Original Paint, Complete Numbers Matching, 115,000 Original Miles

When it comes to classic cars, there are some things money cant buy, and original paint is one of them. For that reason, we are quite excited to offer this unrestored, and totally original, 1969 Porsche 911E Sportomatic. A California car since new, the first owner had ordered this car from the factory for Tourist Delivery. After spending some time driving around Germany in his new 911E, he brought it back to the states and drove it cross country to his home in Southern California. A couple years later he offered the car to a neighbor who had fallen in love with this exotic sports car next door, and would come over frequently to admire it when it was out of the garage. The neighbor finally did purchase the car from him in 1971, and it would remain in his ownership until just this year when he decided it was time that someone else had a chance to enjoy the car like he did for so many years.

This is as original a driving 911 as one could ever hope to find. The engine and transmission are numbers matching of course, and the very well preserved interior is original down to the last thread. Most remarkably, however, is the excellent condition of the original Bahama Yellow paint. One could almost be fooled to think it was a recent respray. It is immediately apparent from the notable preserved condition of this vehicle, that the long time custodian of this vehicle was a compassionate caretaker. Further evidencing this fact, the car comes with all original books in like new condition, the original and complete toolkit, as well as the original Porsche spares package with what seems to be a large majority of the spares themselves. Of course, as one might suspect, the mechanicals are correspondingly superb, as the car was regularly taken in for both minor and major service at a local Porsche specialist since new. The engine is eager to start, and the original Sportomatic transmission works absolutely flawlessly. Many owners of original Sportomatic cars were not willing to put up with the additional maintenance required with the technologically advanced transmission, and as such, many have long since been converted to 5-speed gearboxes. Not so with this car, which has had the transmission regularly maintained and once rebuilt. The car has typical SoCal metal, not a spot of rust to be found, even in the typically problematic areas on these cars.

The car comes with service records since 1973, original books, tools, jack, spares, and Porsche CoA. Driving this car one can experience classic 911 motoring, unadulterated from the way Porsche designed it.
