1963 Porsche 356B T6 Super Sunroof Coupe
Factory Sunroof, Recent Respray, Upgraded Motor
Introduced to replace the 356A in 1959, the 356B brought new levels of civilization and refinement to Porsche`s increasingly popular and capable sports car line. As always, the cars incorporated thoughtful and functional design, along with the tried and true Porsche recipe of high quality, value, reliability, and mechanical robustness.
This particular car is an unrestored and collector owned example that remains in lovely condition. As a late 356B, this car has the T6 body with larger trunk opening, external fuel filler, and most notably the twin-grille deck lid for improved cooling. The previous owner was a 356 aficionado, and owned many fine examples. While out of the box this factory Super was no slouch itself, the decision was made to install an early 912 power plant #1283040.
Cosmetically, the car is very presentable with a high quality older repaint that remains very nice. The panel fit and gaps are very nice throughout. The chrome is extremely nice too, with just some light surface scratches, and light pitting to the window frames, though most of it is limited to the rear quarter windows. The chrome wheels and hubcaps are excellent, and the lights and glass are very nice.
This is a unique opportunity to own a very presentable and collectible Porsche that has all the right upgrades to offer hot-rod like performance.
